Viewing the service request that initiated a change request



If the service request fulfillment workflow in the BMC Digital Workplace catalog creates a change request, you can see the request ID, title, and the Related DWP request label in the change request.

To view the related service request

  1. Open a change request.
  2. View the DWP service request ID and summary.
  3. Click the DWP service request to view the service request details.

When a user submits a service request from which BMC Service Request Management subsequently generates a change request, you can view information about the originating request from the Change Request form. The information available includes the date on which the service request was submitted, who submitted it, and the related company. You can also view information about approvers, an activity log, and a process flow diagram showing the status of the request.

To view the related service request

  1. Open a Change Request form.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Functions > View <Service Request ID>.
