Hiding or displaying the Categorization tab in Release Management

You can control whether the Categorization tab appears on the Release form. The tab appears by default.

To hide the Categorization tab

  1. Log in to the BMC Helix ITSM using an account that has Release Config permissions.
  2. From the IT Home page, open the Application Administration console.
  3. From the Custom Configuration tab, select Release Management > Advanced Options > Release Management Settings.
  4. On the Release Management Settings dialog box, click Show Settings.

  5. From the Show Release Categorization Tab menu, select No.

    Tip

    If this tab is hidden and you need to display it, reverse this procedure by selecting Yes in step 5.

  6. Click Add/Modify Settings, and then click Close.

    Important

    Users who are logged into the BMC Helix ITSM at the time that these changes are made must log out and then log in to see the change.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
