Increasing cache size for Atrium Integrator

By default, each cache can hold maximum of 1 million records. You can increase the cache size in the aiplugin.properties file located in the in the <ARInstallationDirectory>/diserver/data-/integration/ngie/conf directory, where <ARInstallationDirectory> is the path where Action Request System is installed.

If you cannot find the aiplugin.properties file in the specified path, run a job that includes a CMDBOutput with cache enabled. At the time of the job run, the system generates the aiplugin.properties file with default values. You can edit the file as required for subsequent runs of the CMDBOutput steps.

Whatever changes that you make in the aiplugin.properties are system wide. For example, change in the cache size affects all CMDBOutput steps that use cache in your environment.

To increase the cache size

  1. Open the aiplugin.properties file.
  2. Set the InMemoryCache parameter as required.
    For example, to increase the cache size to 10 million, set the InMemoryCache  parameter as follows:
    InMemoryCache=10000000
  3. Save the file.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
