Troubleshooting the Impact Simulator plug-in
The CMDB Impact Simulator (AIS.FILTERAPI) plug-in is responsible for handling commands from the user interface, organizing the simulation information, and creating results. The plug-in uses the filter interface to receive commands such as add input, update input, or simulate. The AIS plug-in is responsible for queuing CMDB for all the components and relationships and calculating the impact for the simulation.
Troubleshooting tips
The ais.log filecontains most of the issues related to CMDB Impact Simulator. The ais.log file is generated when you run Impact Simulation and, AIS plug-in gets triggered. The ais.log file is located in Atrium home folder\Logs. For example, C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\logs\ais.log.
CMDB Impact Simulator has the following known issue: Atrium Impact Simulator shows inconsistent results in server group environment and does not support server group failover mechanism.
