Deployment recommendations

Use the following deployment recommendations when installing BMC Analytics for Business Service Management (BMC Analytics for BSM):

  • The product must be installed on the same host as the SAP BusinessObjects Central Management Server.
  • The SAP BusinessObjects product should not be installed on the same host as the BMC Remedy AR System server or the BMC Remedy Mid Tier.

Note

When you install BMC Analytics for BSM, select either the Live DB or Replicated DB option on the BMC Remedy AR System Server Database Platform Selection screen and then provide the credentials and details of the Live (Transactional) database information on the next screen. This creates all the BMC Analytics for BSM related DB tables and views on the Live database and are automatically populated into the Replicated instance according to the replication policy.

Once the replication process is complete, import the ITSM Universe using the Universe Designer Tool and then provide the connection details of the replicated instance.
