Creating users on the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server
This topic contains procedures for creating the following users on the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server:
- User with View Only permission — This user can view a BMC Analytics for Business Service Management (BMC Analytics for BSM) report but cannot refresh, edit, or schedule the report.
- User with View on Demand permission — This user can view, refresh, schedule, and copy a BMC Analytics for BSM report, but cannot edit the report or create a new report.
You can choose to create one or both types of users. If you create both types of users, you should create two separate groups for them, one group that will contain the View Only users and another for the View on Demand users.
BMC Remedy AR System users that belong to a particular company are set up in one group, and then permissions are assigned individually to restrict or provide access to the applications. Access to various reports, classes, and objects in the ITSM universe is managed by creating similar users and groups on the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server.
