Configuring BMC Atrium Single Sign-On and SAML for SAP BusinessObjects 4.0

To successfully perform the configuration mentioned in this topic, you must install Patch 1 for BMC Analytics for BSM version 7.6.06. For more information, see Patch-1-for-version-7-6-06-7-6-06-001.

Perform post-installation steps in this topic to configure BMC Atrium Single Sign-On and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) with BMC Analytics for BSM for SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 in a reverse proxy or a load balancer environment.

Note

These steps are applicable only in single tenant and on-premise environments. They are not applicable in multitenant or on-demand environments.

To configure BMC Atrium Single Sign-On and SAML

  1. Install BMC Analytics for BSM, SAP BusinessObjects 4.0, and BMC Atrium Single Sign-On, as instructed in Installing.
  2. Log on to the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server with the user name amadmin and select the Analytics Agent.
  3. Go to Agent details, select the agent, and click Edit.
  4. In the pop-up window, update the Login URL and Logout URL as follows:
    • Login URL

      New URL: https://<externalServerName>:<portNumber>/atriumsso/spssoinit?metaAlias=/BmcRealm/sp&idpEntityID=<SAML-IDPServerAliasName>

      Example: https://saas-sso:443/atriumsso/spssoinit?metaAlias=/BmcRealm/sp&idpEntityID=test-sso-idp
    • Logout URL

      New URL:  https://<externalServerName>:<portNumber>/atriumsso/saml2/jsp/spSingleLogoutInit.jsp?idpEntityID=<SAML-IDPServerAliasName>&RelayState=<externalServerName>/BI

      Example: https://saas-qa8-sso:443/atriumsso/saml2/jsp/spSingleLogoutInit.jsp?idpEntityID=test-sso-idp&RelayState=https://saas/BI
  5. Save the Agent details and log out of the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server.
  6. Stop the SAP BusinessObjects Apache Tomcat service.
  7. Open the BILaunchpad.properties file located in the <SAPBOInstallationDirectory>\Tomcat6\Webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\default directory.
  8. Locate the url.exit property in the file, uncomment and change the value to the same value as the Logout URL. For example,
  9. Save and close the file.
  10. Start the SAP BusinessObjects Tomcat service.
