Modifying the installation
Use the installation utility to modify an existing BMC Analytics for Business Service Management installation. This utility automatically populates all the values on the screens that you have entered in previous installation from the AnalyticsInstallingConfiguration.xml file present in the temp directory.
Change the values only if they are required else leave them and move to next screen.
You can make the following updates:
- Reconfigure the current authentication type
Before you begin
If you are reconfiguring your authentication type from SAP BusinessObjects Authentication (Enterprise) to BMC Atrium Single Sign-On authentication, you must perform the following actions before launching the installation utility:
- You must have previously installed the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server.
- (For For SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1) Because the installation utility installs a new version 6.0 Apache Tomcat server, you must stop and disable the Tomcat service used by SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. If you do not stop and disable the service, and the installation detects that port number 8080 is in use, it will pick a different port number for the version 6.0 Tomcat server.
- (For SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0) You do not need to stop or disable the Tomcat service used by SAP BusinessObjects as the SSO configuration is done within this Tomcat service.
