C01a - Discovery Datasets Comparison

This report is a summary of the comparison of discovery datasets within BMC Atrium CMDB. The differences between these datasets are displayed by hardware and software components.

You can drill down on each component within each dataset to view its details, which are displayed in the Discovery Datasets Comparison – Drill-Down View subreport.

Usage

Use this report to compare discovery datasets from different sources that exist within BMC Atrium CMDB (for example, the BMC.TOPOLOGY discovery dataset with the BMC.ASSET production dataset). This report also displays the changes in the CI data between each discovery scan.

Subreport

The C01b — Discovery Datasets Comparison – Drill-Down View subreport of the Discovery Datasets Comparison report displays the details of CIs within a given dataset when you drill down on the number of assets in the Dataset column of the Discovery Datasets Comparison report.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
