Launching BMC Analytics for BSM

You can launch the product by accessing the BI launch pad. You can launch the product through your browser or through the BMC Remedy IT Service Management (BMC Remedy ITSM) Home page if you use BMC Remedy OnDemand.

Before you begin

If you use BMC Remedy OnDemand and you want to launch BMC Analytics for BSM from the BMC Remedy ITSM Home page, you must have configured the BMC Remedy ITSM Home page to launch BMC Analytics for BSM.

If you launch BMC Analytics through your browser, ensure that you know the following information:

  • (If you have integrated BMC Analytics for BSM with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On) The SAP BusinessObjects host name and port number
  • (If you have not integrated BMC Analytics for BSM with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On) The SAP BusinessObjects web server and port number

To log on to BI launch pad

  1. Enter one of the following addresses into a web browser:
    • http://<BusinessObjectsServer>:<portNumber>/BOE/BI
    • (If you use BMC Atrium Single Sign-On) http://<fullyQualifiedBusinessObjectsHostName>:<portNumber>/logon/logon.do

      The SAP BusinessObjects BI launch pad logon dialog box appears.
  2. At the logon prompt, provide your user name and password.
  3. Click Log On.
