Validating the linked universe

Use this procedure to validate the linked universe after an upgrade.

Before you begin

You must have installed BMC Analytics for BSM.

To validate the linked universe

  1. Using the Universe Design Tool, import the linked universe and export it.
  2. Re-import the universe and verify the table, views, and joins.
  3. Refresh all of the preconfigured and custom reports that use objects from the core and linked universe to ensure that they are all valid and returning the right results.

If you are upgrading the product and you use a linked universe, you have completed all of the steps in the upgrade.
