Storing and updating fiscal calendar data

BMC Analytics for BSM provides a custom table called ANA_FISCAL_CALENDAR that provides fiscal calendar data. The fiscal calendar data consists of day, week, month, quarter, year, and their derived values (such as running day, running week, and so on). The BMC Analytics for BSM fiscal calendar year can start on the first day of any month and end one year from the start date. For example, if you specify April 1, 2012, as the beginning of the fiscal calendar, the end date occurs March 31, 2013.

If you report on BMC IT Service Management applications, the product also provides a BMC Remedy AR System form called ANA:Fiscal_Calendar. The installation utility loads the form into the BMC Remedy AR System database and then populates the table.

Note

  • You must have administrative rights to import the modified Fiscal Calendar .def file in BMC Remedy AR System. If you are using the Server Group option, you must provide the Primary AR System Server details to load this .def file.
  • To use the procedure for modifying the Fiscal Calendar view, the Database User must have the CREATE VIEW rights.Otherwise, the procedure fails and the new column defined in the Fiscal Calendar cannot be modified.
