Changing the case template reference in BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog questionnaire


The catalog items that are enabled in BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog refer to the case templates from the BMC Sample Facilities line of business that are provided out of the box. As a case catalog administrator, make sure the catalog items from the custom line of business refer to the corresponding case templates in that line business and not to the case templates from BMC Sample Facilities line of business.

Before you begin

Make sure you have the GUID of the activated case template from the target line of business. Learn how to get the GUID in Reviewing and copying the content use case in BMC Helix Business Workflows

To change the case template reference in the questionnaire

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog as a case catalog administrator user.
  2. Click Service Management.
  3. Open the copied use case. 
  4. Click Edit for the Workflow.
  5. In Workflow and Questions, click Edit for Workflow.
  6. In the Create Facilities Case page, in the Process Properties tab, edit the LOB input variable by clicking image2023-1-17_20-40-27.png.
  7. In the pop-up window, in the Default Value field, specify your line of business instead of bmc-sample-facilities.
  8. Save the catalog item.
