Raising onboarding requests by using the service catalog or through web API
Before you begin
The employee record of the new hire must already be added to the people data in BMC Helix ITSM. Learn how to add a new record in Creating or modifying People data.
To raise an onboarding request by using the catalog service item
- Log in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Advanced.
- From the top menu, click Catalog.
- On All items and services page, select Onboarding request.
- On the Onboarding request page, click Request now.
- Select the Hiring manager, Recruitment manager, Manager, and Buddy for the new hire, and click Next.
- In the New hire information section, enter the following details:
Name
The Personal email and Contact number details are automatically populated.
- Gender
- Job requisition ID
- Joining date
- Job title
- In the Employment information section, specify the following details:
- Company
- Organization
- Department
- Location type
- Joining location
- Employment type
- Employee type
- Click Submit request.

Troubleshooting
If the request is not saved, confirm that the email address or mobile number is correct.
