Viewing and renaming onboarding task categories

The onboarding journey involves tasks from different departments that must be completed at a specific stage in an onboarding lifecycle. These stages in a solution are called onboarding task categories.

In a task template, the Label field is used for specifying the onboarding task categories. Based on these labels, a task appears in the appropriate swim lane in the Onboarding Portal.

The onboarding tasks are available out of the box in the following categories:

  • Pre boarding tasks
  • Joining day tasks
  • 1st week tasks
  • 1st month tasks

Based on these onboarding task categories, the swim lanes in the Onboarding Portal are defined and tasks are divided into specific stages.

Task category labels

A case business analyst can change the labels for the task categories. However, you cannot add new task categories.

For example, you can change the Joining day tasks label to Day 1 tasks.

The label is reflected in the Onboarding Portal:

Tip

Always add the appropriate label to the onboarding task categories. Without the correct label, the tasks are not visible in the Onboarding Portal.
