Resource request console

The Resource Request Console is one of the main consoles for resource management. Here Resource Managers and Resource Masters can monitor the progress of requests as they move through their lifecycle. Resource managers and Resource Masters can view information like requested hours, assigned hours, completion percentages, etc. without visiting edit pages of resource requests individually.

To access the resource request console, log in to the Portfolio Management application and click Workspace > Resource Requests.

The following figure shows the option once you access the Resource Request Console.

The following table describes the Resource Request Console UI elements:

	Access menus	Navigate to the following options available in Portfolio Management application: Dashboard: The dashboard is visible to all resource contributors, managers, and masters. It consists of the Pre-Configured Cards and a Card’s settings icon that would allow the currently logged-in user to create new Custom Cards for easy access. Workspace: The menu displays the available workspaces, which include, Ideas, Demands, Projects, Programs, Project Tasks, Resource Requests, and Resource Assignments. The respective workspace displays the list of ideas, demands, projects, programs, project tasks, resource requests, and resource assignments created within the application. Create: It displays the options to create a new Idea, Demand, Project, Program, Portfolio, and Resource Request. Portfolios: This has two categories, Business and Application Portfolios, that redirect you to the respective list of Portfolios created within the application. Resources: This menu displays the list of consoles related to Resource Management, which includes Foundation Data, Timecard Approvals, Resource Timecards, Resource Availability and Competency Search.
		Messages: Shows the notifications for your profile. For example, when a project task is assigned to the currently logged-in user, the notification will appear under this bell icon.
		My Profile: Displays the following user options: My Competencies: Redirects the users to the My Competencies section, where they have different consoles to add and manage their qualifications, trainings and examination certificates and keep track of their assessment history. For more information, see Managing My Competencies. Log Timecards: Redirects the user to the Timecard Dashboard, where they can enter a new timecard. For more information, see Timecard Dashboards. My Availability: An availability tag that can be applied to a user's profile to show they are available for assignment. My Preferences: A field to enter the preferred language of the user. Sign Out: Click to log out of the application.
		Application Settings: Shows the configuration settings in the Portfolio Management application. For more information, see Administering.
		Application Launcher: Contains a dropdown menu of all the applications, offered by BMC. For example, click on BMC Helix Dashboards to access HPM Reports. For more information, see Viewing Reports.
2	Workspace	List of Resource Requests.
3	Request ID	Open a Resource Request.
4	Search grid	Search for resource requests by entering the keywords or request ID.
5		Filter the listed records by entering or selecting values. For example, you want to view requests that are in approved status. To view these records, in the Filter list, select Approved from the Status field and click Apply. You can use preset filters that are readily available to narrow down your search. Preset filters are filters that are available out of the box. Learn more about creating filters in Defining filter presets to search records.
6		Modify the visible columns in the workspace.
