Requested qualifications

Requested Qualification is a tab that is used for managing the qualifications that are required to fulfil a resource request. A resource master or approver of a resource group can add, remove or update the skills of resource group members on this console.

A requested qualification can be added to a resource request In the statuses Draft and Plan/ Prepare.

These operations can be performed by the Resource Manager assigned and resource masters.

To add a requested qualification

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application.
  2. Open the resource request to which a requested qualification is to be added. To open a resource request navigate to Workspace > Resource Request and click on the resource request ID of the required resource request.
  3. On the resource request details page, go to the Requested Qualification tab; a requested qualification can be added for a resource request in the Draft and Plan/Prepare status.

  4. To add a Requested Qualification, click + Add Qualification.

    Primary Qualification

    The valid options for primary qualification are Yes and No. Choose Yes if the assigned resource should have this qualification as the primary qualification.

    Weight

    The weight field suggests the importance of that qualification in an assigned resource.

  5. To edit a Requested Qualification, click on the display id of the qualification.
  6. To remove a qualification, select the qualification and click delete.pngRemove Qualification. 

To remove a requested qualification

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application.
  2. Open the resource request to which a requested qualification is to be added. To open a resource request navigate to Workspace > Resource Request and click on the resource request ID of the required resource request.
  3. On the resource request details page, go to the Requested Qualification tab and select the qualification that you want to remove.
  4. Click on the delete.pngRemove Qualification button. 


Important

  • There can only be one qualification that is set as the primary qualification on a resource request.
  • A qualification that is chosen as the primary qualification has 10 as the value of the weight.
  • If adding qualifications to a resource request, it is compulsory to have at least one primary qualification.
  • When there is only one qualification on a resource request it will automatically be set as the primary qualification and the weight will be set as 10.
