Setting additional access for a project


The project manager assigned and the portfolio manager can set additional access to other project managers for the project.

The additional access can be:

  • Read: the project manager can access the project, sprints or phases, tasks, related activities and documents, and can access new activities and Related and Documents tabs.
  • Write: the project manager can access and modify the project, create and modify sprints or phases and tasks, can create new activities, and access Related and Documents tabs.

Project managers who have been added additional access to a project can access the project from Project-management-console

To add read access to a project manager in a project

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Navigate to Workspace > Projects.
  3. To open a project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
  4. Go Additional Access tab and click Add Read Access.
  5. On the blade page Select Project Manager, select the project manager who you want to add with read access to the project and click Select.

To add write access to a project manager in a project

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Navigate to Workspace > Projects.
  3. To open a project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
  4. Go Additional Access tab and click Add Write Access.
  5. On the blade page Select Project Manager, select the project manager who you want to add write access to the project and click Select.

To delete additional access to a project

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Navigate to Workspace > Projects.
  3. To open a project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
  4. Go Additional Access tab.
  5. Select project manager with additional access from the list and click Delete Access.
  6. A confirmation dialogue window is showed.
  7. Click Yes.
