Transforming tasks to subtasks and releasing
The following users can transform a task in the backlog into a subtask within another task in the backlog:
- Project manager of the project
- Portfolio/Program manager of the parent portfolio/program
- Portfolio/Project masters
- Project manager with additional write access to the project
Likewise, you can transform a task into a subtask within another task related to the same sprint or phase.
Tasks with subtasks or tasks closed (Done or Cancelled status) are not allowed to transform into subtasks.
The above mentioned users can also release a subtask being related directly to the sprint or phase of the parent task, or related directly to the project if the parent task is in 'Backlog' or is a global task.
