Configure allocated working hours

The Manage Allocated Working Hours console shows the working hours or shifts that can be worked in the organization. The working hours record holds the number of hours that can be worked, in a week.

To access this console login to the Portfolio Management application, click Settings and click Resource Management > Allocation > Working Hours - Allocated. It is accessible by the Resource Master and the Agility Admin users.

The Allocated working hours record is used to determine the number of working hours that a resource (person) can work, on any particular date.

An allocated working hour record is always associated with a working hours record

Allocated working hours records have a Type field which can hold the values, Person, Site, Default, and Fallback.

  • Person type means that the allocated working hour record will directly be associated with a person.
  • Site type means that the allocated working hour record will be associated with a site and will be applicable to all the people on that site.
  • Default type means that the allocated working hours record will be used in case neither a person nor a site type record can be found for that person on that date. This type should be made as a default configuration for the entire organization for a period of time.
  • A record with the type Fallback is created by default and is used in case there is no allocated working hours record (type: Person, Site, or default) that can be found for that date.
