Submitting and recalling timecards
These topics guide you on how to submit timecards in 'Draft' status to send for approval, and how to recall submitted timecards to correct or modify some wrong data. Timecards in Approved or Rejected statuses cannot be recalled.
These operations can be performed by the Resource Contributor creator of the timecard.
To submit timecards from the Timecard Dashboard
- Open Timecard Dashboard, two sources:
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application and go to User > Log Timecards.
- Log in to the Smart IT application and access an incident/ task/ work order/ change request. On the details page of the record, go to Timecard Dashboard.
- On the workspace, select the timecards in Draft status to be submitted and click Submit.
- The timecards selected are updated to Submitted status.
To submit timecard by viewing the timecard
- Open Timecard Dashboard, two sources:
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application and go User > Log Timecards.
- Log in to the Smart IT application and access an incident/ task/ work order/ change request. On the details page of the record, go to Timecard Dashboard.
- On the workspace, click on Display ID of the timecard in Draft status to be submitted.
- On the timecard details page, click Submit.
- A confirmation dialog windows is showed, click Yes.
- The timecard is updated to Submitted status.
To recall a timecard from timecard dashboard
- Open Timecard Dashboard, two sources:
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application and go User > Log Timecards.
- Log in to the Smart IT application and access an incident/ task/ work order/ change request. On the details page of the record, go to Timecard Dashboard.
- On the workspace, select the timecard in Submitted status to be recalled and click Recall.
- The timecard selected is updated to Draft status and user can edit again the timecard.
To recall timecard by viewing the timecard
- Open Timecard Dashboard, two sources:
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application and go User > Log Timecards.
- Log in to the Smart IT application and access an incident/ task/ work order/ change request. On the details page of the record, go to Timecard Dashboard.
- On the workspace, click on Display ID of the timecard in Submitted status to be recalled.
- On the timecard details page, click Recall.
- Enter Recall Reason.
- The timecard is updated to Draft status and user can edit again the timecard.
