Managing my timecard templates console

Timecard Templates can be managed from the Manage My Timecard Templates page.

Users create Timecard Templates to make the timecard creation process more streamlined. For example: if you have a timecard that you submit every week, you create a template out of that timecard and use that template every time you create that timecard.

The page is accessible by Resource contributors, Resource Managers, and Resource Masters.

To access to Manage My Timecard Templates, log in to Portfolio Management application and go to User > Log Timecards, on the Timecard Dashboard page click Template Administration.

The following figure shows the options once you access the Manage My Timecard Templates page.

The following table describes the Timecard Template Console UI elements:

	Access menus	Navigate to the following options available in BMC Helix Portfolio Management application: Dashboard: The dashboard is visible to all resource contributors, resource managers, and resource masters. It consists of the Pre-Configured Cards and a Card’s settings icon that would allow the currently logged-in user to create new Custom Cards for easy access. Workspace: The menu displays the available workspaces, which include, Ideas, Demands, Projects, Programs, Project Tasks, Resource Requests, and Resource Assignments. The respective workspace displays the list of ideas, demands, projects, programs, projects tasks, resource requests, and resource assignments created within the application. Create: It displays the options to create a new Idea, Demand, Project, Program, Portfolio, and Resource Request. Portfolios: Has the two categories, Business and Application Portfolios, that redirect you to the respective list of Portfolios created within the application. Resources: This menu displays the list of consoles related to Resource Management, which includes Resource Qualifications, Timecard Approvals, Resource Timecards, and Resource Availability.
		Messages: Shows the notifications for your profile. For example, when a project task is assigned to the currently logged in user, they will get a notification that will appear under this bell icon.
		Application Settings: Shows the configuration settings in BMC Helix Portfolio Management. For more information, see Administering.
		Application Launcher: Contains all the applications, created within Innovation Studio. For more information, refer to Viewing Reports.
		My Profile: Displays the following user options: My Qualifications: Redirects the user to the My Qualifications console, where they can add and manage their qualifications. Refer to My qualifications console for more. Log Timecards: Redirects the user to the Timecard Dashboard, where they can enter a new timecard. Refer to Timecard Dashboards for more. My Availability: An availability tag that can be applied to a user's profile to show they are available for the assignment. My Preferences: A field to enter the preferred language of the user. Sign Out: Click to log out of the application.
2	Workspace	List of timecards templates.
3	Template Name	Open a timecard template.
4	Functions	New Template: click to create a new timecard template. Delete Template: click to delete a timecard template selected on workspace. See Creating-modifying-and-deleting-timecard-templates.
5	Search grid	Search for timecard templates by entering the keywords or name of template.
6		Filter the listed records by entering or selecting values. For example, you want to view timecard templates that are in 'Active' status. To view these records, in the Filter list, select Active from the Status field and click Apply. You can use preset filters that are readily available to narrow down your search. Preset filters are filters that are available out of the box. Learn more about creating filters in Defining filter presets to search records.
7		Modify the visible columns in the workspace.
