Managing My Qualifications


Users can add, remove or update their qualifications from the My Qualifications console. This console is available for all the users having resource contributor permission to manage their qualifications.

To access the My Qualifications console, log in to the Portfolio Management application and navigate to My Profile > My Competencies > Qualifications > Launch.

The following table describes the My Qualifications UI elements:

  • Add related Examination Certificate: To relate examination certificates with the qualification(s).

Search grid

Search for qualifications by entering the skill name or keywords.

You can use preset filters that are readily available to narrow down your search. Preset filters are filters that are available out of the box. Learn more about creating filters in Defining filter presets to search records.

Modify the visible columns in the workspace.

To add a new Qualification

1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application. 

2. Navigate to My Profile > My Competencies > Qualifications > Launch.

3. Click add.pngAdd Qualification to create a new qualification and fill in the below details.  

Field

Description

Skill

Select a skill from the dropdown. 

Level

Select the level of expertise you have in the above selected skill. 

Years of Experience 

Mention the years of experience you have with the above selected skill. 

No. of Projects

Mention the number of projects you have done using the above selected skill. 

Status

Select the status of the qualification. 

  • Under Consideration
  • Planned 
  • Obtained 
  • Obsolete

Target Date

Mention the date by which you are planning to obtain the qualification. This field is only relevant when the status is Planned.

Comment

Provide comment to the qualification record.  

4. Click Save. 

Important

  • You cannot add a qualification with the same name and level. 
  • You cannot add a qualification with the same name and a lower level. 
  • You need to confirm to add a qualification with the same skill name and higher level.

To edit/update a Qualification

1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application. 

2. Navigate to My Profile > My Competencies > Qualifications > Launch.

3. Click on the required Skill name in the workspace. 

4. On the Edit Qualification page, apply the changes. 

5. Click Save.

To delete a Qualification

1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application.

2. Navigate to My Profile > My Competencies > Qualification > Launch.

3. Select the qualification to delete and click on the (delete.png) Remove Qualification button.  

To add related training to a Qualification

1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application.

2. Navigate to My Profile > My Competencies > Qualification > Launch.

3. Select the qualification to which you want to relate the training.

4. Click the +Add related Training button. This will open the list of related courses that the administrator have configured under the selected skill. For more information, see Configuring Skills

To add related examination certificate to a Qualification

1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application.

2. Navigate to My Profile > My Competencies > Qualification > Launch.

3. Select the qualification to which you want to relate the examination certificate. 

4. Click the +Add related Examination Certificate button. This will open the list of related certificates that the administrator have configured under the selected skill. For more information, see Configuring Skills.

5. Click Select.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
