Managing Foundation Data


In the BMC Helix Portfolio Management application, Foundation data refers to a comprehensive set of information on the resources of an organization. The Foundation Data contains details related to Resource Groups, individual Members/Resources, and their associated Qualification, Training, and Certificate records. These elements collectively form the core data structure that supports different functionalities for resource planning and various aspects of resource management operations.

The terminology used in Foundation Data—Qualifications, Trainings, and Examination Certificates—aligns with competencies, Skills, Courses, and Certificates, respectively.
