Moving to backlog a global task


The Project Manager of the project, Portfolio/Program Manager of the parent portfolio/program, Project Masters, Portfolio Masters and Project Managers with write access to the project, can move global tasks to the backlog of the project ('Backlog' status).

To move a global task to backlog from the project

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Navigate to Workspaces > Projects.
  3. To open a project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
  4. On the project details page, go to the Global Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task or tasks of the list that you want to move to 'Backlog' status and click the Move to Backlog button.
  6. The confirmation dialogue window is shown, click Yes.
  7. Tasks selected are updated to Backlog status. 

 To move a global to backlog task from the task

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Open the task in the backlog which you want to modify, in two ways:
    • Navigate to Workspaces > Projects and open a project on the Projects workspace by clicking the required project ID. Go to the Global Tasks tab and click the required task ID.
    • Navigate to Workspaces > Project Tasks and open the task on the Project Tasks workspace by clicking the required global task ID.
  3. On the task header page, click the 'Move to Backlog' button.
  4. The confirmation dialogue window is shown, click Yes.
  5. The task is updated to Backlog status.
