Viewing and updating program details


Only the Program Assignee of the Program, Portfolio Manager of the parent Portfolio and Portfolio Master can edit the Program details.

To update a Program

  1. Log in to the Agility Suite application.
  2. Navigate to Workspace > Program.
  3. To open a program on the Program workspace, click the required program ID.
  4. On the program details page, click Edit, and perform any of the following actions:

    Action

    Change the basic program details

    The program assignee can update below details of the program:

    • Summary
    • Description
    • Attachments
    • Primary and Secondary Labels
    • Start, End and Target Dates
    • Status
    • Progress
    • Importance
    • Total Risk
    • Value 
    • Budget
    • Strategic 

    Assign program manager

    The creator of the Program (portfolio manager/master) creates assigns a portfolio manager/master as the Program manager/assignee. But they can later reassign the program to another portfolio manager/master:

    • Click the Associate button next to the 'program manager' field.
    • A blade window will open with a list of portfolio managers. Select the new portfolio manager and click Select.

    OR

    Click on the Set Default Manager to set the default manager as the manager of the current program.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Header Functions

Opening a program, you can also view functions (bottoms) related to the Program in the header.

The following table describes the program functionalities that you can view for your reference: 

Header bottom

Purpose

Labels

This button is accessible to users who have the role of Portfolio Masters or Program Manager and Portfolio Manager for the current Program. 

Single click on this button will open up a blade that shows all the labels created within the current program. The accessor can create a new label for the current program by clicking on +Custom Label

Other Program Tabs

Other than the basics you can also view certain tabs that provide more information about the Program. The Program Manager can use this information to work on the Program.

Purpose

Projects

List of projects that comes under this program.

To create a new project in the program, see Creating projects.

Requirements

List of requirements related to this program.

To create new requirements related to the program, see Creating requirements.

Here you can find requirements created by ideas related to the program.

To open and view a project, see Viewing and updating requirement details.

Demands

List of demands related to this program.

To create new demand in the program, see Creating demands.

To open and view a demand, see Viewing and updating demand details.

Ideas

List of ideas which have been related to the program.

To create a new idea directly in the program, see Creating ideas.

Details

Here, you can see the details which we have filled while editing the program, this includes, the program manager assigned, description, attachments, importance, total risk, value, budget, and strategic details. 

Activities

The activities tab on the program details page displays activities and the history of the changes that the portfolio/program manager has made in the program.

Related

The program manager can attach files to a program and view a consolidated list of all the documents added. Here you can consult all documents related to Ideas, Demands, Requirements and Projects of the program.
