Competencies Management Overview
Competencies Configuration
Users can import the pre-existing data (competencies) of their organizations within the Helix Portfolio Management application via one-time Excel import during installation. This can be particularly beneficial for organizations dealing with large sets of data and undergoing initial setup.
Additionally, the application administrators can configure new Skills, Courses and Certificates under the Resource Management Settings. For more information, see Configuring Competencies.
The imported or configured data auto-populates to the Foundation Data Console and can be managed by the Resource Managers and Resource Masters. For more information, see Managing Foundation Data.
Competencies Management
The competencies can be managed by different people at different levels.
- The Resource Managers and Resource Masters can add/update the qualifications, trainings, and certificates for the resources under the Foundation Data Console. For more information, see Managing Competencies under Foundation Data Console.
- The Resources can do the self-assessment (update their qualifications, trainings and certificates) under the My Competencies section. For more information, see Managing My Competencies.
- The Application Administrators can associate different skills, courses and certificates with the Job Profiles and Resource Groups under the Resource Management Settings. For more information, see Configuring Job Profiles and Configuring Resource Groups respectively.
