My qualifications console


Users can manage their qualifications using the My Qualification console and they can add, remove or update their skills on this console.

This console can be accessed by Resource Contributors, Resource Managers and Resource Masters.

To access the My Qualifications Console, log in to the Portfolio Management application and click User > My Qualifications.

Access menus

Navigate to the following options available in the Portfolio Management application:

  • Dashboard: The dashboard is visible to all resource contributors, resource managers, and resource masters. It consists of the Pre-Configured Cards and a Card’s settings icon that would allow the currently logged-in user to create new Custom Cards for easy access.
  • Workspace: The menu displays the available workspaces, which include, Ideas, Demands, Projects, Programs, Project Tasks, Resource Requestsand Resource Assignments. The respective workspace displays the list of ideas, demands, projects, programs, projects tasks, resource requests, and resource assignments created within the application.
  • Create: It displays the options to create a new IdeaDemandProject, ProgramPortfolioand Resource Request.
  • Portfolios: Has the two categories, Business and Application Portfolios, that redirect you to the respective list of Portfolios created within the application.
  • Resources: This menu displays the list of consoles related to Resource Management, which includes Resource Qualifications, Timecard Approvals, Resource Timecards, and Resource Availability.

Messages: Shows the notifications for your profile.

For example, when a project task is assigned to the currently logged in user, they will get a notification that will appear under this bell icon.

Application Settings: Shows the configuration settings in Portfolio Management application.

Application Launcher: Contains all the applications, offered by BMC. Click to launch the Reporting dashboard and access reports.

My Profile: Displays the following user options:

  • My Qualifications: Redirects the user to the My Qualifications console, where they can add and manage their qualifications. Refer to My qualifications console for more.
  • Log Timecards: Redirects the user to the Timecard Dashboard, where they can enter a new timecard. Refer to Timecard Dashboards for more.
  • My Availability: An availability tag that can be applied to a user's profile to show they are available for assignment.
  • My Preferences: A field to enter the preferred language of the user.
  • Sign Out: Click to log out of the application.

Workspace

List of qualifications of the resource name.

Open a qualification.

Functions

  • Add Qualification: user can add new qualifications.
  • Remove Qualification: delete a qualification.

Search grid

Search for qualifications by entering the keywords or qualification ID.

Filter the listed records by entering or selecting values.

For example, you want to view qualifications with skill 'AR System'. To view these records, in the Filter list, enter 'AR System' from the Skill field and click Apply.

You can use preset filters that are readily available to narrow down your search. Preset filters are filters that are available out of the box. Learn more about creating filters in Defining filter presets to search records.
