Viewing phase activities and adding activity notes
While viewing a phase, you can track the phase activities and add activity notes to the phase. Activity notes provide additional information about the phase such as details about implementing the phase, communication details between the project manager and task users and so on. You can view and track all the activities performed on a phase on the Activity tab on the phase details page.
You can perform the following actions on the Activity tab of a phase:
- View the name of the contributor who made the comment performed.
- View the status changes and assignment changes.
- View automatic phase status updates.
- View information such as public notes.
- View feedback provided by a person who accesses the phase.
- Filter sprint activities by using the available filters.
- Search the activities performed by a particular author.
To view phase activities
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application
- Navigate to Workspaces > Projects.
- To open a Phased project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
- On the project details page, go to the Phases tab and click the required phase ID.
- On the phase details page, click the Activity tab.
On this tab, the latest change in the phase is displayed at the top. - (Optional) To perform a search to view the updates made by a particular person, click Filter, select the Author check box, enter the name of the agent, and click Apply.
You cannot perform the following actions on the Activity tab:
- Modify the order in which the phase activity details are displayed.
- Disable or enable auditing on the fields that are displayed in the phase activities.
To add activity notes to a phase
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application
- Navigate to Workspaces > Projects.
- To open a Phased project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
- On the project details page, go to the Phases tab and click the required phase ID.
- On the phase details screen, click the Activity tab, and click Add a note text box.
Any text that you add is automatically spell checked. The spell check option is enabled by default. You can disable the spell check if you do not want the text to be checked. - Enter details in your activity note and click Post.
- (Optional) To attach files to your notes, click Attach.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
