Applying a template on a draft project
Once a Portfolio/Program Manager creates a new project in 'Draft' status, he/she can apply a project template if he/she didn't it when the project was submitted.
To apply a template to a draft project
- Log in to the Portfolio Management application
- Navigate to Workspaces > Projects.
- To open the 'Draft' project on the Projects workspace, click the required project ID.
- On the header of the project page, click Select Template. It is required to introduce the project manager, and the start and end date of the project prior to selecting a template.
- On the Select Project Template page, select a template from the list and click Select.
- A confirmation dialogue is shown where Summary and Description will be overwritten by the Template.
- Click Yes.
- The project is updated to Plan/Prepare status. Sprints or Phases and Tasks are created in the project automatically from sprints, phases and tasks templates related to the project template.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
