Managing Documents
Documents are linked to different records in the Portfolio Management application on the Related tab.
This section helps maintain this information in form of different document types and can be accessible to resources who are working on the same.
Documents can be added to the next records:
- Idea
- Demand
- Demand Requirement
- Project
- Sprint
- Phase
- Task
- Program
- Portfolio
- Portfolio Requirement
The different document types available are :
- Documentation—Available on all record types. It helps to capture, and explain some attributes of a requirement or a procedure. The main purpose is to describe the use, operation or design of software or hardware through the use of manuals and diagrams.
- Lessons Learned—Available on projects. Capture positive and negative experiences. It gives the opportunity to learn from actual experiences and helps provides solutions to assist the transition to the next level.
- Release—Available on portfolios and projects. The release document tracks the release details and the availability to customers.
- Risk & Compliance—Available on portfolios, programs, requirements, demands and projects. The highest risk can be identified, and documented with priority for controls, policies, and procedures that can be noted in the compliance plan.
- Design—Available on requirements and tasks. A design document can be a collection of documents that covers all aspects of product design. It can include essential implementation details, and design decisions your team and stakeholders agreed on.
- Concept—Available on requirements and tasks.
- Test Case—Available on requirements and tasks. A test case is a set of actions executed to verify a particular feature or functionality of your software. Task users while working on allocated tasks can start writing the possible scenarios while understanding the same.
