Viewing demand activities and adding activity notes


While viewing a demand, you can track the demand activities and add activity notes to the demand. Activity notes provide additional information about the demand such as details about analyzing the demand, communication details between managers and stakeholders in the demand, and so on. You can view and track all the activities performed on a demand on the Activity tab on the demand details page.

You can perform the following actions on the Activity tab of a demand:

  • View the name of the contributor who made the comment performed.
  • View the status changes and assignment changes.
  • View automatic demand status updates.
  • View information such as public notes. 
  • View feedback provided by a stakeholder who accesses the demand.
  • Filter demand activities by using the available filters.
  • Search the activities performed by a particular author.

To view demand activities

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application and navigate to Workspaces > Demands.
  2. To open a demand on the Demands workspace, click the required demand ID.
  3. On the demand details page, click the Activity tab. 
    On this tab, the latest change in demand is displayed at the top.
  4. To perform a search to view the updates made by a particular employee, click Filter, select the Author check box, enter the name of the agent, and click Apply.

You cannot perform the following actions on the Activity tab:

  • Modify the order in which the demand activity details are displayed.
  • Disable or enable auditing on the fields that are displayed in the demand activities.

To add activity notes to a demand

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application and navigate to Workspaces > Demands.
  1. To open a demand on the Demands workspace, click the required demand ID.
  2. On the demand details screen, click the Activity tab, and click Add a note text box.
    Any text that you add is automatically spell-checked. The spell-check option is enabled by default. You can disable the spell check if you do not want the text to be checked.
  3. Enter details in your activity note and click Post.
  1. To attach files to your notes, click Attach.
