Collecting resources


This topic guides you on how to introduce resources related to the demand. 

These operations can be performed by the Demand Contributor creator of the demand (if the demand status is 'Draft' or 'Requested'), Demand Manager of the demand, Portfolio/Program Manager of the portfolio/program and Portfolio Master.

Once demand is in 'Assessed' status, it is not allowed to enter or edit resources.

To create a new resource

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Navigate to Workspaces > Demands.
  3. To open a Demand on the Demands workspace, click the required demand ID.
  4. Go to the Resource tab and click the Add Resource button.
  5. On the create Resource page, enter the values for the following fields:

    Field Labels

    Description

    Summary

    Name of the resource.

    Description 

    Details of the resource.

    Type 

    CMDB Object, Equipment, Investment Team, Skill.

    Depending on the type selected Amount is calculated automatically.

    Amount

    Board, Budget Owner, C-Level, Contractor, Informal, LOB Manager.

  6. Click Save.

To update a resource

  1. Log in to the Portfolio Management application
  2. Navigate to Workspaces > Demands.
  3. To open a Demand on the Demands workspace, click the required demand ID. 
  4. Go to Resource tab and click the required resource ID of the list.
  5. On the resource details page, click Edit,
  6. Apply changes in the resource fields.
  7. Click Save.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
