Configuring resource group
The Manage Resource Groups console shows the resource groups which are required on resource requests and resource assignments. The console is accessible by the Resource Master and the Agility Admin users.
To access to this console, login to the Portfolio Management application, click Settings and go to Resource Management > Resource Group.
To create a new Resource Group
- Login to the Portfolio Management application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Resource Group.
Click on the '
New' button to add a new resource group.

Add the name of the Resource Group.

Available for Request Type
The 'Available for request type' field has three options, namely: '
- Individual Requests will make this resource group available for Resource Requests of the type 'Individual'
- Group Requests will make this resource group available for Resource Requests of the type 'Group'
- Both will make this resource group available for Resource Requests of the type 'Individual' and 'Group'.

Approval Required
The field Approval Required has two options namely, 'Yes' and 'No'.
Choose 'Yes' if you need approvers of the Resource Group to approve Resource Requests. Choose 'No' if you do not need approvers of the Resource Group to approve Resource Requests and the approval would be automatic.

Status
The status field has two options namely, Active and Inactive. The default Status after the creation of a resource group is "Inactive". To use an already configured resource group, change the status to "Active". This will allow the creation of new Resource Requests for that Resource Group.
To modify the Resource Group
- Login to the Portfolio Management application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Resource Group.
- Click on the display id of the entity type or select the row and click on the Edit (
) button.
- Approvers and members can be added to Resource Groups from the edit view of Resource Groups.
- To add new members (or new approvers), click on the '
Add Members' (or '
Add Approvers') button. Clicking on the button will open a view that allows the selection of multiple users. Select the users and hit the 'Add People' button.
- To remove members(or approvers), select the members (or approvers) that need to be removed and click on the
Remove Members button.
- Click Save.
To delete a Resource Group
- Login to the Portfolio Management application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Resource Group.
- Select the Resource Group to delete and click on the Delete (
) button.
