Configuring Financial Statements
A Financial Statement is the grouping of selected positions together to create perspectives in the application. These perspectives, for example, could be costs, gains and losses, etc.
The Manage Financial Statements console contains the list of Financial Statements configured in BMC Helix Portfolio Management and provides functionality to add, remove or modify the Financial Statements. This console is accessible to the user with the Financial Master role.
To access the Manage Financial Statements Console
- Log in to BMC Helix Portfolio Management and click Settings
. - Select Financial Management.
- Go to Financial Statements. The console will have the list of Financial Statements, if created already.
To create a Financial Statement
- Log in to BMC Helix Portfolio Management and click Settings
. - Select Financial Management > Financial Statements.
- Click +New to add a new Financial Statement and fill in the following details:
| Field | Description |
| Financial Statement | A unique name that identifies the Financial Position |
| Status | Indicates whether the Financial Statement is Active or Inactive. |
4. Click Save.
To Modify/Edit a Financial Statement
- Log in to BMC Helix Portfolio Management and click Settings
. - Select Financial Management > Financial Statements.
- Click on the name of the Financial Statement or select the row and click on the Edit (Image) button. This will show you the details that you provided while creating the Financial Statement, and additional tabs to configure relevant details.
- Follow the instructions in the table below to modify the Financial Statement.

5. Click Save.
To Delete a Financial Statement
- Log in to BMC Helix Portfolio Management and click Settings
. - Select Financial Management > Financial Statements.
- Select the Financial Statement and click Delete.
