Defining stages for tasks
To define stages for a task
- Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows.
- Click Settings
. - Select Task Management > Stages.
- On the Stages page, from the Line of Business list, select the option for which you are defining stages.
- Click Stage.
On the Create Stage page, complete the following fields:

Click Localize and enter the stage name for different locales.
Important: You must enter the stage in English.
Status
Select one of the following values based on whether you want to enable the stage or not:
- Active
- Inactive
- Deprecated
- Click Save.
The task stage is displayed on the Stages page. (Optional) To delete a stage, on the Stages page, select the required stage, and click Delete.
After you create the stage, you can assign it to a task template.
