Mapping Foundation fields for custom reports after upgrading to 21.3 or later


To continue using custom reports after you upgrade to version 21.3 or later, you must map fields from the 21.3 or earlier version to the 21.3 or later versions.

Main forms in BMC Helix Business Workflows

The Main forms in BMC Helix Business Workflows are Case, Task, and Knowledge. These forms store the following Foundation values:

  • Category Tiers
  • Company, Support Organization, Support Group
  • Site information
  • Requester, Contact, and Assignee full name

Important

To join the Main forms in BMC Helix Business Workflows, you must join the Case (Requester field) to CTM:People (record ID field) to retrieve the fields about the Requester (same for contact and assignee).

Verify and update the references of the RELATED ORGANIZATION ID field in actual reports because this field might have been referred to as Support Group, Business Unit, Department, Vendor, Manufacturer using the Organization Selection field.
