Enabling the resetting of case or task status to Assigned when the assigned group is changed


As a case business analyst, enable the resetting of the status of a case or task to Assigned when the assigned group is changed for your line of business. The default value for this parameter is set to false.

The status can be reset for cases and tasks for the following statuses:

  • Case
    • In Progress
    • Pending - All status reasons except Approval.
  • Task
    • In Progress
    • Pending - All status reasons except Approval and Failed for manual tasks.

To reset the status of a case or task when the assigned group is changed

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows, and click Settings Settings icon.png.
  2. Click Line of Business > Manage Line of Business.
  3. On the Application Configurations tab, click SET_STATUS_TO_ASSIGNED_ON_REASSIGNMENT.
  4. On the Edit configuration page, enable the resetting of the status by selecting 2102_ToggleIcon.jpg.
  5. Click Save.
