Viewing the license usage reports

The BMC Helix Business Workflows licensing model tracks the number of unique users who have created cases in the application for a month. As an administrator, analyze the number of active users (case requesters) in a line of business in the Active User License Usage report in BMC Helix Dashboards.

This report helps you make sure that you are compliant with the license agreement you signed with BMC Software. Additionally, monitor whether you overutilize or underutilize the licenses for BMC Helix Business Workflows.

To assign the System Administrator role to a user

The license usage reports are visible to users only with the System Administrator role. Additionally, only one default system administrator is defined for the reports.

If you want to grant the license usage report access to multiple users as default system administrators, change the role of these users to System Administrator.

1. Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows.
2. Click Reports.
3. Select Administration > Admin Console > Users.
4. In the People section, click the expand button corresponding to the user, and select Change Role > System Administrator.
5. Save the changes.

To grant access to the license usage report

1. Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows.
2. Click Reports.
3. Select Administration > Admin Console > User Groups.
4. Edit the Admin User Group, and define the members for the group by selecting the System Administrator role.
5. Save the user group.

To access BMC Helix Dashboards

1. Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows.
2. Click Application Launcher .
3. Click BMC Helix Dashboards.
   The BMC Helix Dashboards UI is displayed.
