Configuring case and task approvals


A case business analyst configures approvals for cases and tasks for a line of business. Approvals might be required at various stages in the case or task lifecycles. Approvals can be self-approvals, approval flows, or a chain of approvals.

The following image shows the process to configure an approval for cases or tasks:

You can also change the default fields from the case record that you want to be displayed on the Approval Console in BMC Helix Innovation Studio. When a case is listed on the Approval Console, an approver can refer to these fields for additional information about the case that needs approval. For example, you can set the Contact field to be displayed on the Approval Console. Learn more in Modifying-the-approval-request-fields-displayed-in-the-Approval-Console.
