Mapping knowledge article status to approvals

After self-approvals or approval flows are defined for knowledge articles, a Knowledge Coach must create an approval mapping for knowledge articles to define the status that triggers an approval.

To map a knowledge article status to an approval

1. Log in to BMC Helix Business Workflows as a Knowledge Coach.
2. Click My Application Settings .
   The Settings page opens in a new browser tab.
3. Select Knowledge Management > Approvals.
4. (Version 20.08.01) On the Approval Configuration page, from the Line of Business list, select the line of business for which you want to create an approval mapping, and click Approval Mapping.
5. (Version 20.08) Click Add Approval Mapping.
6. Specify an Approval Mapping Name.
7. Select the Company.
8. Select a value for Status Trigger.
   The available values are Request Cancelation, Publish Approval, and Retire Approval.
9. To set the approvals, select the status values.
10. Click Save.

11. To delete an approval mapping that is no longer required, select it on the Approval Configuration console and click Delete.
