Requirements for BMC HelixGPT


BMC HelixGPT is a generative AI capability powering simplified, actionable insights and automated resolutions throughout the BMC Helix platform. It is a critical capability across the BMC AI strategy that will empower enterprises to capitalize on new generative AI-powered use cases to resolve problems faster, improve collaboration, and increase productivity.

BMC uses large language models (LLMs) built from proprietary and licensed enterprise data with its domain-specific product models, which are designed to address today's business challenges.

To start using BMC HelixGPT, you must configure specific settings and also have the appropriate license to use BMC HelixGPT.

 

Supported BMC applications

BMC HelixGPT supports the following applications from version 23.3.04 and later.

  • BMC Helix Digital Workplace
  • BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog
  • BMC Helix Virtual Agent
  • Live Chat
  • BMC Helix IT Service Management
  • BMC Helix Business Workflows
  • (23.4 and later) BMC Helix AIOps
    BMC HelixGPT versions follow the n-1 support model for BMC Helix AIOps. For example, BMC HelixGPT 25.3.00 supports BMC Helix AIOps version 25.2.00.

BMC Helix AIOps supports the Google Cloud Platform Vertex AI and Microsoft Azure AI for generative AI. To use BMC HelixGPT, complete the following steps:

To obtain the API key for Google

For Google, we support only the API Key method of authentication.

Before you begin

  • You must have a service account on https://cloud.google.com/.
  • You must populate the API key field in the Model record with the Credential.json file.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Open https://cloud.google.com/ and log in with your administrator account credentials.
  2. In the Admin account from the Main menu, select IAM admin >  Service Accounts.
    The following screenshot shows the Service Accounts option:

  3. Select the Keys tab and click Add keys, and then select Create New keys.

  4. Select JSON and click CREATE.
