Scenario: Creating a service for a software installation request

Creating a service for a software installation request

Hannah, a catalog administrator at Apex Global, wants to create a catalog service for Software Installation. She logs into the Catalog console and instead of manually creating a service, she navigates to the Catalog Assistant— a tab on the UI to access the Service Catalog Curator.

Hannah enters the following prompt: Create a service for Software Installation. It should use the IT Request template and may require versioning. Additional languages are French, Spanish, and German. This service requires manager approval and should generate a work order on request.

The Service Catalog Curator generates an entire summary, including a list of service parameters, a service profile with localized tags, a default service workflow, and a service questionnaire including questions for Software Name, Version, License Type, and so on.

Hannah makes some real-time edits by asking the agent to include a question about the purpose of use. The Service Catalog Curator presents a modified summary and asks for her confirmation. After Hannah confirms by entering Looks good, the Service Catalog Curator successfully creates a service in Draft state.

This interactive AI-driven assistance significantly reduces Hannah's time and effort, enhancing her user experience.
