Specific roles are required to enable and configure BMC HelixGPT for the summarization, chatbot, and knowledge article search use cases. User access in the BMC Helix applications is determined by the users’ responsibilities in your organization in the functional areas in which they work.

Roles to configure BMC HelixGPT for the summarization, chatbot, and knowledge article search use cases

Out of the box, the following functional roles are assigned to an administrator to configure BMC HelixGPT:

  • HelixGPT Admin (HGM Admin)
  • HelixGPT Client (HGM Client)

The administrator can assign these roles to users who will work in the HelixGPT Manager application.

A user with the HelixGPT Admin role works on defining configurations in the HelixGPT Manager, such as creating and updating skills, models, and prompts. A user with the HelixGPT Client role works in the applications that integrate with BMC HelixGPT to select the appropriate skills for the BMC Helix applications. A HelixGPT Client user can only view the skills, models, and prompts, and cannot create or update them.

Important

  • The HelixGPT Admin user cannot modify the out-of-the-box skills, models, and prompts.
  • The skill data created in the HelixGPT Manager is for the Global company. Therefore, users can view the skill data.
