Task 2: Completing the prechecks for SRD migration
The following image shows the process of migrating services:
How prechecks work
The prechecks identify the supported and unsupported scenarios that help you take corrective actions and then proceed with the migration. The precheck identifies whether an SRD has the following configurations:
- SRD with Advanced Interface Form (AIF) reference
- SRD with a custom approval process
- SRD with a Quick Launch Request
- Process definition template (PDT) has a variable mapping with a service request field
- PDT has a custom Application Object Template (AOT)
- SRD with a PDT that has several fulfillments
- SRD with a PDT that has parallel fulfillments
- SRD with a PDT that has nested conditions
- (Version 23.3.04) SRD has embedded PDTs
A precheck score is displayed on the UI along with the details of each component of an SRD.
The following table describes the precheck scores:
Precheck score | Description | Example | Precheck details of each component |

No issues | The selected SRD contains all supported scenarios. | ||
Unsupported | The selected SRD contains one or more unsupported scenarios. | ||
Needs attention | The selected SRD contains scenarios that will be migrated but would need a manual review and updates to the migrated workflow. |
Before you begin
- Make sure you have learnt about the supported and unsupported scenarios of migration at Migration-of-services-from-BMC-Service-Request-Management-by-leveraging-the-utility.
- Make sure that you have assigned the completed the prerequisites specified at Migration prerequisites.
To complete the prechecks
- Open the SRD Migration utility manager.
A list of SRDs is displayed from the SRD: Service Request Definition form in Action Request System. - Select one or more SRDs on which you want to run the prechecks.
- Click Precheck, as shown in the following image:
After the prechecks are completed, a message is displayed. - In the Pre-check score column, the overall score of each SRD is displayed.
- Click View Details
next to each SRD to learn more about the precheck status of the selected SRD.
- (Optional) To manually change the status of the SRD, from the Precheck status list, select the appropriate status.
For example, if you are verifying the SRD and it is not ready to migrate, select In review. - (Optional) In the Comment field, add more context related to the status you selected.

Troubleshooting
Refer to the following table to resolve common issues related to precheck:
