BMC Service Request Management as a Catalog source
You can use BMC Service Request Management to build your catalog in BMC Digital Workplace. In this use case, Service Request Definitions (SRDs) created in BMC Service Request Management determine the services available in the catalog. The SRDs also determine how the requests are fulfilled, which can be from incident requests, change requests, and work orders in Remedy IT Service Management. Catalog built in BMC Digital Workplace Catalog
You can build your Catalog directly in BMC Digital Workplace Catalog. In this use case, you specify and configure connectors in the workflow of a service to determine how that service is fulfilled. The following diagram illustrates the catalog sources and data flow with a few example connectors:
Catalog built in BMC Service Request Management and imported into BMC Digital Workplace Catalog
If you create SRDs in BMC Service Request Management, you can import them into BMC Digital Workplace Catalog. Your Catalog can also include services that you build directly in BMC Digital Workplace Catalog. The following diagram illustrates the catalog sources and data flow for this use case:
