Creating virtual marketplace entitlements
To create a virtual marketplace
- In the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog console, select Services > Entitlements.
- Click New Virtual Marketplace.
- In the Virtual Marketplace Name field, specify a name.
- Click Create.
To rename or remove an existing virtual marketplace, select a virtual marketplace, and click .
To display companies that do not have associated organizations in Action Request System
By default, when you associate a virtual marketplace with a company, only those companies which have organizations created for them in the CTM:People form of AR System are displayed.
To display companies that do not have organizations, you must complete the following steps:
- Log in in to BMC Helix Digital Workplace Catalog:
- Click the Application Settings
icon.
- In the Service Catalog section, enable the Display companies without organizations in Entitlements toggle.

To add all users to a virtual marketplace
You can add all users to a virtual marketplace by turning on the Everyone toggle key in the Edit Virtual Marketplace pane.
All users will have access to the services, banners, and bundles in this virtual marketplace.
To add BMC Digital Workplace Catalog user groups
BMC Digital Workplace Catalog groups are created during a post-installation task, when administrators synchronize Remedy ITSM users with BMC Digital Workplace Catalog . The synchronization process creates three different groups, based on the following information from the Remedy ITSM CTM:People table:
- Company
- Company - Organization
- Company - Organization - Department
When you add a user group to a virtual marketplace, the users within that group are entitled to the items attached to the virtual marketplace.
- In the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog console, select Services > Entitlements.
- Open a virtual marketplace.
- Next to Attributes, click Add.
Click the Custom Groups tab.
- Search for a group that you want to add.
- Select the group, and click Save.
To add multiple users from dynamic filters of Remedy ITSM attributes
You can add users to a virtual marketplace by filtering them with the following fields from the Remedy ITSM CTM:People and (version 20.02.03 and later: the Support Organization category only) CTM:Support Group forms:

(Version 20.02.03 and later) The relationship between People and Support Groups is stored in the Remedy ITSM CTM:Support Group People Assoc Join form. The list of Support Groups of a company is also retrieved from this form.
Filter names in BMC Digital Workplace Catalog correspond to fields in the Remedy ITSM CTM:People form. Filter lists display values dynamically generated from existing user profiles in Remedy ITSM.
- In the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog console, select Services > Entitlements.
- Open a virtual marketplace.
- Next to Attributes, click Add.
- To filter users by core fields:
Click the ITSM Core tab, and expand the available categories as needed.
- Select the attributes that you want to assign, and click Save.
- To filter users by other fields, perform the following steps:
Click the Other Fields tab, and expand the available categories as needed.
- Select the attributes that you want to assign, and click Save.
To add individual users
- In the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog console, select Services > Entitlements.
- Open a virtual marketplace.
- Click Add next to Users.
Search for or filter users that you want to add.
5. Select one or more users, and click Add .
To add services, bundles, and banners to virtual marketplaces
You can add and remove services, bundles, and banners in the Services and Banners section of the Edit Virtual Marketplace pane.
- In the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog console, select Services > Entitlements.
- Open a virtual marketplace.
- To add services and bundles to a virtual marketplace:
- Click Add next to Catalog, and search for or filter services and bundles that you want to add.
Select one or more services and bundles, and click Add.
- To add banners to the virtual marketplace:
- Click Add next to Banners.
- Select one or more banners, and click Add.
To assign administrators for virtual marketplaces
Add administrative permissions to virtual marketplaces in the Managers section of the Edit Virtual Marketplace pane as follows:
- In the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog console, select Services > Entitlements.
- Open a virtual marketplace.
- Next to Managers, click Add to find administrators to add.
The User Directory pane contains the list of users with the appropriate permissions to manage virtual marketplaces. - Search for or filter users that you want to add.
- Select one or more users, and then click Add.
