Enabling approvals

As a BMC Digital Workplace administrator, you can enable people to approve the specified types of requests in BMC Digital Workplace.

If you do not enable approvals in the BMC Digital Workplace, the approvals can still be done through Approval Central; some approvals can also be done through SmartIT.

To configure BMC Service Request Management approvals

Note

Although these videos show an older version of BMC Digital Workplace, the concept and procedure to configure approvals remains the same.

To enable approvals for service requests approvals

  1. In the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console, select Configuration > Approvals.
  2. In the Approval types section, select the approvals for which you want to enable approval requests.DWP Admin_Approval types_20.02.png
  3. Click Save.

Additional options that you can enable or disable

After you enable approvals in BMC Digital Workplace, you can perform one or more of the following tasks to configure them:
