Enabling Microsoft Windows Integrated Authentication for Track-It!

You can enable Microsoft Windows Integrated Authentication (WIA) for Track-It! technicians and Self Service requestors so that the users do not have to enter their login credentials each time that they access the Track-It! application.

The Reset Password or Change Password options are enabled only if the WIA is disabled for individual technicians or requestors.

If the WIA is disabled for Track-It! or Self Service but is enabled for individual users, the WIA does not work. The users must use the default password to log in to Track-It! or Self Service.

If you disable the WIA for a technician, the technician's password is reset to the default password for Track-It!. To reset the password, you can update the required value in the TechDefaultPwd column of the NAMSYSPROPERTIES table in the database. After you update the value in the database, the technician must use the new password to log in to Track-It!.
