Updates to configuring incoming and outgoing email mailboxes

We have introduced the ability to configure Microsoft 365 with OAuth to connect to the Microsoft Exchange Online server. We recommend using it for better performance and better access control as compared to the other mailbox types.

Updates to sending an email via ticket

If the technician sends an email with the expressions {TICKETALLTECHNICIANNOTES}, {TICKETLASTNOTE}, and {TICKETRESOLUTIONNOTE}, then the Email sent user note resolves the expressions and displays the data from those notes which are not marked as Private.

Updates to sending an email via assignment

If the technician sends an email with the expressions {ASSIGNMENTALLTECHNICIANNOTES}, {ASSIGNMENTLASTNOTE}, and {ASSIGNMENTRESOLUTIONNOTE}, then the Email sent user note resolves the expressions and displays the data from those notes.

Updates to creating and managing tickets

When a closed ticket is copied, the new ticket will have the status as open.

When a closed assignment is copied, the new assignment will have the status as open.

Updates to data that you can migrate

  • The Migration Tool migrates the Computer Model field value during asset migration.
  • The Migration Tool migrates attachments up to 400 MB from all the Track-It! modules.

Updates to configuring business rules

  • When you define a Business Rule to update a record or create a linked record, the linked record ID is automatically mapped in the Select a Field dialog box.
  • When you define a Business Rule to create, update, or delete an assignment, you can send email notifications to the technician, group, and requestor of the ticket linked to the assignment.
  • If you configure a Business Rule on create a linked record, or create or update an assignment, you can map the parent ticket values in the Select a Field dialog box in the Define Actions section.
  • When you define a Business Rule to send a notification on creating or updating a Change Approval, you can add the Change Approval review notes and the parent Change Request field values in the email message.

Updates to searching for records

The search results for each module are displayed in a separate grid. You can sort the column values in the grid view in ascending or descending order. You can filter the data in each column in the grid view.

You can use the toggle key to switch the global search results from grid view to list view.

You can now generate log files for the Microsoft 365 with OAuth component.
